Job Summary
Year-round internship for Industrial Engineer at Tyson Foods. Engage in projects that initiate and implement solutions to control plant costs and maximize labor resource effectiveness, develop and maintain engineering labor standards, and apply continuous improvement tools to achieve plant goals. Responsibilities include analyzing data, providing recommendations for process improvements, supporting automation implementation, and collaborating with cross-functional leaders to execute real-world work in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications
- Education: Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one year of school remaining
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university
- Students pursuing Industrial Engineering or another technical degree are required
- Experience: Previous work experience preferred
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with cross-functional partners
- Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness to feedback, and attention to detail
- Work Behaviors: Self-motivated, organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Travel: May require travel to Tyson facilities (approximately 3–4 trips)
- Location: Must reside within 60 miles of the facility
