Job Summary
Industrial Engineer role focused on driving operational performance across multiple sites, owning key projects for customers, and delivering continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include managing deadlines and prioritizing workload, supporting layout, design, improvement, and implementation to achieve peak site performance, championing Continuous Improvement efforts, identifying and implementing cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvements, participating in management circles, and delivering results that impact profitability. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 0-4 years of experience in distribution or logistics; experience with distribution, logistics, and project management is preferred. Skills emphasized include AutoCAD and layout changes, time studies, flowcharting, GEMBA walks, knowledge of warehouse operations (inbound, put away, pick, pack, ship), and cross-functional communication with vendors and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent
- 0-4 years of experience in distribution or logistics
- Experience with distribution, logistics, project management (preferred)
- Capable of using AutoCAD and making layout changes
- Familiar with basic concept of warehouse operation (inbound, put away, pick, pack, ship)
- Basic concept of continuous improvement and ability to identify opportunities
- Performs GEMBA walks with operations team
- Can perform a time study and convert it to meaningful data
- Can use flowcharting software and outline process steps
- Strong communication and vendor/customer interaction
