Job Summary
Industrial Engineer for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA focusing on data analytics and digital transformation to optimize shop floor performance. Responsibilities include analyzing lead times, queue times, WIP, cycle times and throughput; developing scalable models to optimize product flow under cost, schedule, and resource constraints; creating scheduling tools and aligning SAP/MRP with executable plans; building data visualizations and metrics (Tableau) to monitor performance; collaborating with IT, ERP, analytics, and data science teams; and supporting on-site manufacturing operations with occasional travel (≤10%). Key skills include data analytics, SAP/ERP alignment, time studies, capacity modeling, SPC/control charts, Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk, Visio, SQL, Python, VBA, and strong communication and teamwork; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a government secret clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, manufacturing, or data analysis; OR Master’s degree with 0+ years of experience
- Experience with Tableau
- Experience with Digital Transformation
- Experience with time studies and capacity modeling
- Experience with Process control methods (SPC/control charts)
- Experience with Process Capability Analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk)
- Experience with Visio or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government secret clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
