Job Summary
The Industrial Engineer at Moog will serve as a continuous improvement champion supporting avionics manufacturing. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams to implement manufacturing process design, leading process improvement efforts utilizing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, assisting in the design of tooling and jigs, and developing standard work and operation sequences. Candidates should have experience in process improvement methodologies, proficiency in relevant software tools, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering/technology field (Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Up to five years of experience in engineering disciplines supporting operations
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials
Desired Qualifications
- Proficient in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, DMAIC)
- Experience with value stream mapping and root-cause analysis tools (5-Why, Fishbone, Cause Mapping)
- Strong communication skills to instruct, document, and coordinate across functions
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SolidWorks, and process simulation tools
- Capability to perform statistical process control and other statistical methods for process capability and throughput analysis
