Job Summary
Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, AZ. Responsible for modeling factory operations, calculating resource utilization, applying Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve throughput and meet cost/quality/schedule goals, influencing roadmaps and investment proposals, leading cross-functional projects, improving safety and ergonomics, and learning core IE tools for future-state forecasting and data-driven decision making. Requires cross-functional collaboration with frontline operators and specialists who assemble, test, and deliver products, and an interim security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience or applicable Master’s degree
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, capacity modeling, facility design, or process optimization
- Ability to obtain interim security clearance and maintains necessary eligibility
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Experience with CAD and factory layout/work-cell design
- Experience with software/tools for process simulation and capacity analysis
- Cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to influence without authority
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
