Job Summary

Analyze manufacturing problems and develop solutions by leading the creation of new or modified processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Direct production personnel on process changes, review product design releases, and prepare manufacturing cost estimates. Research equipment replacements, conduct floor studies and time analyses, and establish work standards using Six Sigma or Lean methodologies. Perform capability studies, process FMEAs, and mistake-proofing efforts while assisting in ISO:9001 work instruction development. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize machining and assembly operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or other applicable engineering area, or relevant degree
  • Knowledge of manufacturing functions, including methods, processing, tooling, work standards, plant layout, and cost controls and reduction
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed drawings, sketches, notes, and blueprints
  • Knowledge of metric dimensions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed
  • Flexibility to effectively adapt to changing conditions and job assignments
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Monday–Friday (8-5) Variable

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or electronics environment is a plus
  • Utilize Lean and/or Six Sigma methodology
  • Knowledge and skills to develop automation and/or robotic operations are a plus
