Job Summary
Industrial Engineer I responsible for applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve Operational Excellence within manufacturing, service, and distribution processes. Will support deploying, maintaining, and improving technical programs and processes for site Industrial Engineering, manufacturing operations, plant safety, continuous improvement, calibration/preventative maintenance, and on-the-job training programs. Will support execution of strategic projects and efforts aligned with business objectives and provide ongoing operational support by utilizing industrial engineering principles. Lead collaboration with team members, supervisors, and other engineers to reduce cost and cycle time by improving processes through bottleneck and material flow analysis, optimizing plant layout, time and motion study, and problem solving techniques. Supports execution of plans for Operational Excellence and other total-cost improvement projects. Completes studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems; develops and implements plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. Analyze and improve sequence of operations and process flow to maximize productivity, ensure adequate facilities capacity, and maintain current layout drawings. Supports collaboration with safety, engineering, and production leaders to deploy site safety programs and cross-functional teams to implement improvements. Expectation to deploy, sustain, and improve manufacturing and service tools, fixtures, equipment, and systems while ensuring regulatory compliance. Prepare documentation aligned with line design and maintain required changes. This role is onsite with an annual salary range of $70,000 to $85,000; location is Deerfield, Wisconsin. For fully remote positions, compensation will align with wage laws based on primary work location. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of Manufacturing Operations experience preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in the Medical Industry preferred
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities In depth experience in LEAN Manufacturing
- Ability to teach Lean concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication and facilitation skills
- Strong knowledge in operational and business metrics
- Supply-chain knowledge preferred
- General Safety knowledge
- Knowledge or use of ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of use of Documentation Control systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Proven success in project management skills
- Preferred Languages English - Expert
- Travel Requirements 5% Occasional Travel
