Job Summary
Analyze manufacturing processes, workflows, and production systems to identify opportunities for improving efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost performance. Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes to recommend solutions and develop efficient systems that support safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Design, test, and implement new processes using engineering principles while translating customer requirements into effective manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, supply chain, and project managers to resolve operational challenges and integrate solutions into production. Train and mentor team members on new processes and systems, ensuring proper understanding and implementation. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in engineering and technology to continuously improve processes. Maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance and perform duties requiring physical mobility, including climbing stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical or Industrial)
- 1-2 years' experience
- Experience analyzing manufacturing processes and developing standard operating procedures and process documentation
- Proficiency applying engineering principles to design, test, and implement process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (production, quality, supply chain, project management)
- Ability to train and mentor team members on new processes and systems
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and technologies
- Ability to grasp modern technology quickly
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day
- Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices
- Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances
- Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth
