Job Summary
Industrial Engineer I role focusing on developing, implementing, and deploying operational processes and best practices across engineering departments. Responsibilities include training IE resources in approved processes and standards for work measurement, maintaining the SCS database, assisting with reengineering or new projects, leading large project implementations or training initiatives, coordinating Field/Operation Trainers efforts, potentially supervising others, and creating Web Application training materials for Operation Trainers. Preferred experience in Logistics & Distribution and 1-2 years of Project Management. Required skills include MS Word and Excel, strong organizational and communication abilities, basic AutoCAD understanding, and the ability to work independently. Education requirement is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with travel flexibility and US work authorization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
- Must have a flexible travel schedule (weekends and non-business hours included)
- Must be currently located in the same geographic location(s) as the job or willing to relocate yourself
- Logistics & Distribution environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
