Job Summary
Industrial Engineer – General Assembly responsible for developing takt-time targets and manpower plans, conducting time studies and motion analyses to validate standard work, and driving continuous improvement on the factory floor. You will build and manage production dashboards in Excel and Power BI, lead Kaizen events, perform gemba walks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to write and refine work instructions and ensure MES readiness. The role supports PFEP and material presentation strategies, and requires hands-on, on-site engagement on the Riverside, CA shop floor with a focus on achieving balanced production lines, reducing waste, and delivering measurable CI outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering within assembly manufacturing environments
- Proven expertise in time studies, standard work development, and line balancing
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups) with the ability to create and maintain basic dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
- Strong communication skills and a comfort level working primarily on the factory floor alongside operators and leadership
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools, including A3 problem solving, DMAIC, value stream mapping, and 5S
