Job Summary
Lead continuous improvement projects by conducting value stream mapping, time studies, and process flow analysis to optimize throughput and resource allocation. Design ergonomic workstations, implement visual management systems like kanban and Andon, and drive root cause analysis using 8D, A3, and FMEA methodologies. Partner with welding, maintenance, and new product engineering teams to advance robotic automation, integrate smart manufacturing technologies, and apply statistical process control for quality monitoring. Develop labor standards, capacity models, and production forecasts while identifying cost reduction initiatives across direct and indirect labor. Act as a local CI coach to mentor supervisors, facilitate Kaizen workshops, and track KPIs such as OEE and safety metrics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 1-3+ years in manufacturing (axle, chassis, suspension, automotive/trailer components preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)
