Job Summary
Industrial Engineer to improve labor productivity and operational workflows across grocery retail store operations. Responsibilities include analyzing labor deployment and workflows across receiving, stocking, merchandising, customer service, and food service areas; developing engineered labor standards from time studies and motion analysis; collaborating with Store Ops, HR, Training, Supply Chain, and Finance to support labor planning and goals; leading projects to improve receiving, stocking, replenishment, checkout, and in-store logistics; delivering financial impact analyses and monitoring labor KPIs with IT, BI, and Payroll teams; staying current on best practices in grocery retail labor management and process improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, operations improvement, or labor optimization (preferably in grocery retail or high-volume retail)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL, Access, or visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred or equivalent experience in process improvement initiatives
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL, Access, or visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Familiarity with labor management systems (LMS) and scheduling tools is a plus
