Job Summary
Industrial Engineer at Boeing Global Services, supporting the C-17 Engineering team in San Antonio. Responsibilities include applying industrial engineering concepts to product, process and service requirements; maintaining and developing plant layouts and capacity planning; evaluating new techniques for production integration; designing and optimizing the production system across design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel; developing models, databases, and analyses to inform leadership; assisting with research, design, and implementation of processes and tools to improve schedule performance, cost, and quality for large-scale systems integration; planning facility/factory modifications, creating production/assembly instructions, and ensuring compliance with safety and ergonomic guidelines; supporting project management, scheduling, and shop load planning; and providing production and logistics visibility and recovery planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering or Methods Process Analyst
- Knowledge of extracting and compiling data from multiple sources
- Knowledge of implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in manufacturing environment
- Experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment
- Experience with modeled and analyzed business processes, information models, and system architectures
- Have knowledge in data analysis algorithms (e.g. data mining, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, text mining, visual analytics)
