Job Summary
Conduct time and motion studies to develop labor standards and improve workflow by analyzing process flow charts and recommending equipment modifications. Reduce waste through method analysis and operator technique adjustments while implementing work improvement programs with management and engineering staff. Prepare work-analysis reports by collecting and summarizing trends, then train and guide operators and supervisors on new procedures. Optimize layouts and productivity by developing pilot programs and business cases for process enhancements. Maintain operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures, and methods while ensuring confidentiality of organizational information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
- Consistent track record of efficiently implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Proficient in using statistical analysis software and tools
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams from various departments
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as an industrial engineer in a manufacturing facility
- 2D AutoCAD software experience
