Job Summary
Maintain, install, calibrate, and troubleshoot all electrical instrumentation and plant equipment while adhering to safety procedures. Utilize PLC and HMI systems for troubleshooting and programming, including Schneider Electric PLCs, VFDs, and Wonderware Graphics. Produce basic electrical drawings, accurately measure electrical values, and provide recommendations for equipment improvements. Mentor apprentices through professional development and safely operate forklifts or hoisting devices when necessary. Perform shift work and overtime as instructed to ensure minimal facility downtime.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a valid British Columbia Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or an Interprovincial Electrical Red Seal Certification
- 5 years of experience in production or similar environment or industry
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, with strong communication skills
- Ability to read or interpret diagrams, schematic drawings and manuals to determine work procedures
- Possession of a valid British Columbia Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or an interprovincial Electrical Red Seal Certification
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
- Adaptable to adverse conditions including confined space, heights, cold weather, odours and animal by-products
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial Instrumentation & Control Mechanic Certification (Red Seal) is considered an asset
