Job Summary
Work safely by adhering to plant accident prevention policies and maintaining a clean environment. Install, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical components while maintaining, testing, and repairing AC/DC motors and motor control systems. Develop skills to troubleshoot advanced control systems and instrumentation equipment, including PLC controls, by interpreting wiring schematics and operating test equipment. Interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders while understanding NEC codes and NFPA-70E standards. Shift runs 6pm-6am with two weekends off per month. Starting payrate is $27.95 - $40.12 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the desired technical skills to safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting
- Possess basic mechanical maintenance skills
- Ability to interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders
- Basic computer skills needed to complete safety training and review work-related e-mail
- Ability to operate equipment as needed, including forklifts, etc
- Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Know and understand NEC codes
- Become trained in NFPA-70E
- Practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment
