Job Summary
Adhere to plant accident prevention policies and maintain a safe, clean working environment while installing, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical components. Maintain, test, and repair AC/DC motors and motor control systems, and develop skills to troubleshoot advanced control systems including PLCs. Interpret wiring schematics, operate electrical test equipment, and apply knowledge of NEC codes and NFPA-70E standards. Complete tasks as detailed on printed work orders using common hand tools and forklifts. Work an 8-hour shift in the Oakfield Reliability department.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the desired technical skills to safely and proficiently work as an electrician in a plant setting
- Possess basic mechanical maintenance skills
- Ability to interpret and perform tasks as detailed on printed work orders
- Basic computer skills needed to complete safety training and review work-related email
- Ability to operate equipment as needed, including forklifts, etc
- Familiar with common hand tools and how to properly use them
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Know and understand NEC codes
- Become trained in NFPA-70E
- Practice all other electrician duties in a manufacturing environment
