Job Summary
Industrial Electrician Technician at Ball Corporation responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining high-speed industrial process equipment (can/end making, power, lighting, control), including PLC logic, HMI programming, and Rockwell PLCs. Tasks include diagnosing malfunctions via field measurements and PLC software, reviewing SOPs, updating wiring schematics (paper or ACAD) and change forms, identifying materials and supplies, and ensuring safe, compliant operation with environmental and waste-management practices. Requires 12-hour rotating shifts with potential overtime/on-call and the ability to travel to other plant locations. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related experience; Electro-Mechanical Technology Degree is preferred; expertise with electronic test equipment, wiring, AC motors, electronics, and ability to operate a computer and forklift/Aerolift is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or education equivalent
- Job-related experience for 3 years minimum
- Electro-Mechanical Technology Degree (Preferred)
- Rockwell PLC experience preferred
