Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components including wiring, conduit, motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and control panels. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime on PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation systems. Plan upgrades, collaborate on new installations, and ensure compliance with NEC standards while conducting safety audits. Operate diagnostic equipment, maintain accurate records, and provide guidance to junior staff. Requires a valid California Journeyman or Master Electrician license, 5+ years of industrial experience, and ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel for training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid California Journeyman or Master Electrician License
- Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment
- Experience with Arc Flash Protection and electrical safety procedures
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and industrial automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Thorough understanding of NEC requirements and applicable safety regulations
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules when operational needs require
- Ability and willingness to travel out of state for temporary training assignments
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Climb ladders, stairs, and industrial equipment as needed
- Ability to climb a minimum of two stories of stairs
- Ability to work in elevated and confined spaces when necessary
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical examination
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or technical training
