Job Summary
Provide emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs for production equipment while performing preventive maintenance on machines, facilities, and plant systems. Diagnose and repair electromechanical issues involving electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including PLCs, VFDs, and motor starters across voltage ranges from 5VDC to 480VAC. Run conduit, pull wire, and use hand and power tools to support new installations, improvements, and automation projects. Read equipment manuals and work orders to complete necessary paperwork and utilize Work Order software. Handle hazardous waste materials and participate in safety training programs.
Required Qualifications
- Industrial electrical knowledge
- Strong mechanical abilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems in a fast paced, automated manufacturing environment
- Open to shift changes
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pass electromechanical maintenance test
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
- Able to see, hear and speak
- Able to sit, stand for at least two hours at a time
- Able to sit, bend, crawl, squat, kneel and climb
- Able to use both arms and hands to use computer, peripherals, and lift 40 pounds from floor level to overhead
- Able to work below ground level in confined spaces and on stationary or mobile elevated platforms
- Able to wear respirator and other PPE as required
- Able to work extended shifts and weekends as needed
- Able to work inside or outside the plant environment and in all climate conditions
- Travel as required for training, meeting with regulatory agencies, and to other company sanctioned events
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree or training
- AA degree in mechanical, or industrial maintenance
- PLC experience (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley)
