Job Summary
Boone Quarry in Verona, KY is seeking an Industrial Electrician to analyze and repair electrical problems, overhaul electrical equipment and controls, and ensure safety excellence. The role involves troubleshooting circuits, wiring diagrams, and PLCs; working with 480V high-voltage systems; performing emergency and scheduled repairs; and maintaining equipment per electrical theory, codes, and OSHA regulations. Overtime and benefits provided; company service vehicle may be included for business and commute purposes.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of electrical experience
- Journeyman Electrician License required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Industrial electrical experience required
- Experience with 480V high-voltage systems is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) required
- Willingness to work overtime as operational needs require
- Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service, or replace electrical systems and electronic devices
- Perform emergency and scheduled repairs, installations, and inspections based on supervisor instructions
- Apply knowledge of electrical theory, codes, and safety standards to maintain equipment reliability and compliance
- Start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic equipment, including components, circuits, and control board
- Install, repair, maintain, and splice communication and power distribution cables
- Fabricate parts using hand and machine tools when necessary
- Diagnose equipment issues and perform running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls
- Advise operators and mechanics on electrical risks and preventative measures
- Report hazardous electrical conditions and corrective actions to supervisors
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
