Job Summary
Maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems within the Chicago bakery plant, utilizing AM and PM standards to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot complex issues in PLC and VFD systems, diagnose production equipment failures, and read technical schematics to ensure operational reliability. Execute preventive maintenance, track equipment losses, and strictly adhere to safety protocols including LOTO and arc flash procedures. Requires 480V experience, shift flexibility for 2nd or 3rd shifts, and a high school diploma. You will directly impact bakery productivity and safety targets through proactive care and rapid diagnostics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Industrial electrical experience working with 480V systems
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining PLC & VFD systems
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing and production equipment
- Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical schematics
- Must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift schedules
- On-site at our Chicago Bakery plant
- Strict adherence to industrial safety and quality standards (e.g., LOTO, arc flash safety)
- Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating as appropriate to the plant site
- Strong collaboration skills within a diverse, fast-paced team environment
