Job Summary
Perform electrical preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, and manufacturer instructions. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, repair or replace defective components, and install new electrical systems according to specifications and safety standards. Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations while collaborating with other maintenance personnel. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed and assist in developing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, and maintain a safe, clean working environment. Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical maintenance
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in the metal industry
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
