Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and sensors. Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical components and machinery while performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals, then calibrate and test electrical instruments and control systems. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies related to electrical work. This role targets professionals with Journeyman Electrician certification and experience with industrial automation components, including VFDs and servo drives, within the Manistee, MI manufacturing region.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent
- Proven experience with PLCs, HMIs, and motor controls
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong understanding of industrial safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA)
- Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and other industrial automation components
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and machinery
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with robotic systems and their associated electrical controls
- Proficiency in programming PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) from various manufacturers (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Certification in thermography or other predictive maintenance technologies
- Familiarity with industrial network protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)
