Job Summary
Industrial Electrician responsible for maintaining the electrical infrastructure of Lyons Salt's underground salt mining operation and surface plant. Troubleshoots and repairs motors, switches, transformers, lighting, and control systems; installs and maintains electrical circuits and equipment; inspects and documents power, lighting, and signal circuits; performs preventive maintenance; reads schematics and technical docs; procures parts; ensures compliance with NEC, MSHA, and company safety standards; works underground or on the surface; may require varied shifts and overtime; must pass pre-employment physical and electrical skills assessment and provide skill documentation; licensing requirement is Master or Journeyman electrician or equivalent experience; explosives possession permit required.
Required Qualifications
- Current Electrician License (Master or Journeyman) or equivalent years of industrial electrical experience.
- Must be permitted to possess/handle explosives and submit an employee possessor questionnaire to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- Must pass a pre-employment physical and electrical skills assessment.
- Must provide documentation or certification of skill level.
