Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems on production machinery, perform preventative maintenance on control systems, and install new equipment, wiring, and conduit according to schematics and codes. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and ladder logic diagrams while calibrating process control instrumentation. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including lockout/tagout procedures. This role requires a Journeyman Electrician certification, proficiency in PLCs and HMIs, and knowledge of the National Electrical Code. While partner companies in Lansing may not have immediate openings, the Pivot Group Network actively seeks skilled professionals in the West Michigan manufacturing region for potential future alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical components and machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and relevant safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with robotic systems and their associated electrical controls
- Proficiency in programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI systems
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and upgrades
- Certification in thermography or vibration analysis for predictive maintenance
- Experience with vision systems and their integration into manufacturing processes
