Job Summary
The Industrial Electrician IV is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and control circuits, including systems from 24V up to and including 480V AC. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, executing projects, directing the work of helpers, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations like NFPA 70E. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Familiarity with electrical test equipment and the ability to read electrical schematics are essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and complete tasks that involve climbing and kneeling. Overtime, weekends, and local travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent
- Electrician Certificate from an apprenticeship program or equivalent
- Associates Technical degree or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience
- Experience working safely with voltages up to 480v
- Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical one lines and schematics
- Valid driver's License
- Familiarity in using electrical test equipment – multimeters, megger, and verifiers
- Familiarity working with distribution panels and switchboards
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in industrial technology or certificate from an industrial electrical course
- Experience working as a licensed electrician
- Knowledge of lighting, lighting control and commercial systems
- Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inches
- Working knowledge of NEC, sizing wire and transformers, calculating conduit fill
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing 3-phase motors up to 100hp
- Experience with a CMMS or Maintenance Management System (i.e. Maximo, MP2, etc.)
- NFPA-70E training preferred
