Job Summary
Repair electrical failures on 460/60/3, 230/60/3, and 220/60/1 AC and DC systems up to 600 Volts, and troubleshoot control systems using PCs and PLCs. Perform preventive maintenance, modify existing equipment, and conduct shutdown activities while communicating upgrades with Engineering and process changes with Production. Break down work orders to determine feasibility, develop repair procedures, and actively participate in the Marysville Plant Safety Program. Occasionally travel to suppliers and trade shows, and collaborate with other maintenance personnel and supervisors. Work extended schedules during shutdown periods.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Journeyman's card in Electronics, Electrical or related trade
- minimum of six years of relevant experience in the trade
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics
- Have residential and/or industrial wiring skills
- PLC and computer skills
- electronic circuit board repair skills
- power distribution skills
- general machine repair skills
- Explosion proof systems ranging from three-phase 480-volt transformers to low-volt intrinsically safe instrumentation
- Analog, digital and hard-wired circuit experience
- Test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meter, meggers)
- Programmable Logic Controllers
- AC and DC drive installation, programming and troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting relay logic
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to set up bench testing and troubleshoot components is a plus
