Job Summary
Inspect, repair, and wire all electrical apparatus and circuits within the plant while assisting in the design and service of electro-mechanical instruments. Routinely check equipment performance, perform assigned preventive maintenance, and analytically troubleshoot malfunctions back to OEM specifications. Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and process work orders while participating in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers. Complete daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual check sheets and prepare reports and forms for the assigned area. Operate within standard operating procedures and follow all PPE policies and safety rules. This role requires a flexible or rotating schedule that may include overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- An electrical certification or technical degree
- At least three years of experience in Industrial electrical maintenance & repair
- Ability to read documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals as well as electrical schematic drawings
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to run conduit, cable tray, wiring and perform terminations
- Above average knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC's
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with VFD's
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with communication systems
- Understanding of ladder logic
- Advanced troubleshooting skills with equipment software language
- Ability to work with a flexible or rotating schedule
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write and speak English in a clear and effective manner
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- Ability to operate an Overhead Crane
- Ability to operate a Manlift
- Ability to operate a Carry Deck
- Ability to follow all PPE policies and safety rules
- Ability to operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

- Exposure to PLC Development software
- Exposure to Electrical Design software
- Exposure to Internet software
- Exposure to Order processing systems
- Exposure to Project Management software
- Previous experience with Allen-Bradley equipment
- Previous experience with Siemens equipment
- Spanish as a second language
