Job Summary
Industrial Electrician responsible for maintaining production equipment, diagnosing and repairing motor control circuits, pneumatic and hydraulic valves and cylinders, relays, DC and AC drives, limit and proximity switches, and other field devices. Program and troubleshoot VFDs, Allen Bradley software, and PLC systems; install and maintain conduit and motor wiring; monitor spare parts; conduct preventive maintenance; operate forklifts as needed; adhere to safety policies; support plant operations; and complete an electrician maintenance exam and hands-on technical assessment. The role is based at the Waynesboro, MS lumber manufacturing operation with a focus on reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency, in a growing sawmill project with emphasis on craftsmanship, safety, and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minium of three years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- Must successfully complete an electrician maintenance exam and hands-on technical assessment
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, industrial environment
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours per day
- Willing and able to pull and lift to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and documentation
