Job Summary
Industrial Electrician needed to support plant operations’ electrical and instrumentation needs. Responsible for alteration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrument equipment under the supervision of Electrical Supervisor or Leadman. Must apply safety requirements, maintain a clean and safe work area, and contribute to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives. Requires reading and interpreting electrical/instrument drawings and specifications, and knowledge of NEC, AC/DC systems, motors, gear, transformers, and switchgear.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1-year experience as Electrician in industrial/manufacturing environment
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical and instrument practices including electrical, electronic, and pneumatic principles
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
- Understanding of AC single phase and three phase systems and DC solid state drives and motor generator sets
- Proficiency in electrical control principles
- Ability to read electrical and instrument drawings, blueprints, and manufacturers’ specifications
- Ability to install and maintain fittings, devices, and instruments for pneumatic and electronic instrumentation
- Maintenance and testing of motors and transformers; switchgear/breakers
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Background check, physical exam, and drug screening compliance
