Job Summary
Conduct scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair motors, VFDs, PLCs, and electrical components on conveyor systems. Assist with the build and installation of MCCs, control panels, and electrical components as specified by the engineering team or customers. Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, switch boxes, receptacles, and other components with limited supervision. Maintain records and test equipment using digital multimeters and current clamps. Observe safety procedures, LOTO, and meet electrical codes. Perform basic electrical tasks with limited or no supervision while reading schematics and working with HMI systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent
- Industrial Electrician certification or equivalent combination of education and training
- At least 2 years of industrial electrician experience
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve issues and provide solutions
- Ability to work with HMI's, PLC's, VFD's, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of low voltage systems
- Basic understanding of a variety of sensors, programming, and analog signals
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
