Job Summary
Industrial Electrician-Controls Technician needed to support a Press Shop: troubleshoot production and non-production equipment; program Siemens S5/S7 PLCs and Beckhoff PC-based controls; troubleshoot and teach-in on robots and robot controllers; troubleshoot servo drives and drive controllers; repair and maintain press shop equipment; implement continuous improvements; perform daily checks and preventative maintenance; work on press shop projects and optimize presses/automation to improve cycle times; ensure safe, clean, and good working conditions; requires Journeyman Electrician or equivalent education/ apprenticeship with PLC certifications and robotics/automation exposure. Rotating shifts with overtime; physical demands include standing and work at heights; location Piedmont, SC.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician / Electronic degree from a recognized, accredited year college, or equivalent combination of education and experience or the completion of an electrical / electronic type apprenticeship program
- Industrial Electrical / Electronic apprentice trade certificate
- Siemens Step5 and Step7 PLC programming certificate
- Beckhoff TwinCat programming certificate
- Pilz safety PLC training certificate
- Fanuc training certificate
