Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems at water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pumps, motors, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. Diagnose control system issues using testing equipment to restore operation, inspect for hazards and code compliance, and perform testing of power distribution equipment. Install and terminate conduit, wiring, feeders, and electrical equipment for treatment processes, lift stations, and facility infrastructure. Coordinate with supervisors, operators, engineers, and other trades to support plant operations and project activities while following all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and site-specific standards. Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with $25+ hourly pay and 20% night shift differential. Travel and night work may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Class A CDL *Preferred* (Must have had for at least 3 years)
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience
- Experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities
- Working knowledge of electrical systems including motors, pumps, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, instrumentation, and SCADA systems
- Experience installing and maintaining conduit systems, underground conduit, duct banks, feeders, and power distribution equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical specifications
- Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and control systems using standard testing equipment and hand tools
- Knowledge of NEC requirements, electrical safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Ability to work safely in active industrial, water treatment, and wastewater treatment environments
- Capable of lifting materials, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces when required
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks and can handle the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to, digging using a shovel, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work out of town and nights, on occasion
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
