Job Summary
Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical systems and automated equipment, focusing on predominantly Siemens S7 and TIA Portal machinery. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and modify or update software and equipment as needed. Applicants must demonstrate working knowledge of motor control circuits, variable frequency drives, HMIs, and programmable logic controllers. This role requires an Associate's Degree in electrical or a related field with five years of experience in an industrial environment. Candidates must be willing to work after hours and on an on-call rotation. Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, operates a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS.
Required Qualifications
- Working with predominantly Siemens equipment including S7 & TIA Portal
- Maintaining/troubleshooting plant electrical systems and automated equipment
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance
- Modifying/updating software and equipment as needed
- Motor Control Circuits
- Variable Frequency Drives
- HMI's
- Programmable Logic Controllers – predominantly Siemens S7 & TIA Portal
- Allen Bradley Automation
- Associate's Degree in electrical or related field
- experience in an industrial electrical environment
- Must be willing to work after hours and on an on-call rotation
