Job Summary
Lead electricians and apprentices on industrial electrical projects by planning daily work, manpower, materials, and tools. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to coordinate installations with customers, vendors, and other trades. Lay out conduit, cable tray, and equipment while overseeing wire pulling, terminations, and controls. Identify problems early, track progress and labor hours, and maintain a clean, organized jobsite. Enforce safety requirements and train less-experienced staff, holding the crew accountable for workmanship. Complete accurate daily reports and time records. Requires a Connecticut electrical license, valid driver's license, and ability to travel. Compensation ranges from $45–$55 per hour with health insurance, 401(k) matching, and performance bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Strong industrial electrical construction and installation background
- Demonstrated experience leading electrical crews or major project work
- Ability to independently read drawings and plan electrical installations
- Strong knowledge of conduit systems, cable tray, feeders, equipment wiring, controls, and industrial electrical practices
- Ability to estimate manpower, materials, and time required for assigned work
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel when required
- Ability to consistently arrive on time and ready to work
- Commitment to safe, high-quality workmanship
- A Connecticut electrical license
