Job Summary

Manage field crews and establish site-specific safety plans to mitigate risks for personnel and equipment. Plan project layouts, calculate material take-offs, and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely arrival. Troubleshoot control circuits, interpret complex schematics, and verify installations against contract drawings and specifications. Monitor daily progress against short-term and long-term schedules, documenting obstacles and evaluating change requests with the project manager. Conduct project meetings for trade coordination and communicate technical information while maintaining a positive team environment. Perform physical tasks including ladder climbing and conduit bending, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet safety, quality, and production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • current and active Journeyman Electrician License issued from the State of Utah
  • valid reciprocal state journeyman license
  • Experience in electrical construction and running field crews
  • Diplomatic management of crews
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install control circuits
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics and blueprints
  • Ability to establish a site-specific safety plan
  • Ability to evaluate project risks to personnel and equipment
  • Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers and instrumentation
  • Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards
  • Ability to communicate technical information
  • Ability to listen to instructions

  • Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods
