Job Summary

Develop innovative designs and processes to support organizational growth by managing projects from concept through fabrication. Create 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for client solutions using all Britten product lines, including themed environments and event activations for the Scenic division. Produce fabrication-ready shop drawings that translate concepts into buildable elements while collaborating with the Scenic fabrication team to ensure constructibility and cost-effectiveness. Support site surveys, installations, and on-site problem-solving at event and exhibit locations. Master Britten Inc software systems and consistently share ideas for improvement to increase profitability. Maintain high-level communication with internal and external clients while aligning with company core values.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design preferred or Bachelor's Degree in related engineering or design fields considered with appropriate experience
  • Proficient using Rhino and Microsoft Office Products
  • Proficiency in Inventor Pro
  • Proficiency in CAM software and manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC programming and toolpath generation)
  • Fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction experience
  • Background in theatrical scenic design, exhibit design, or museum fabrication
  • Working knowledge of materials such as steel, wood, foam, and paint/finish systems
  • Sees challenges as opportunities and enjoys discovering solutions to overcome them

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Travel as required to support event activations

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design preferred or Bachelor's Degree in related engineering or design fields considered with appropriate experience
  • Proficiency in Inventor Pro strongly preferred
  • Experience in other CAD software strongly considered
  • Fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, and/or construction experience preferred
  • Background in theatrical scenic design, exhibit design, or museum fabrication a plus
  • Working knowledge of materials such as steel, wood, foam, and paint/finish systems
