On-siteHawthorne, California, United States
Job Summary
Lead end-to-end industrial design from initial concept sketches to production-ready forms for lunar rovers and data networks. Collaborate directly with aerospace and mechanical engineers to navigate extreme thermal, structural, and mass constraints while maintaining design integrity. Own the Color, Materials, and Finish (CMF) strategy to ensure hardware reflects brand identity without compromising mission-critical engineering. Use Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, and Alias to communicate design intent to technical and non-technical audiences, rapidly iterating on forms based on engineering feedback and brand alignment. Work within a studio model embedded in marketing to establish the overarching design language for all Astrolab hardware.
