Job Summary
As an Industrial Design Intern, you will contribute to the design and development of innovative products, supporting projects from initial concept through to prototype. Responsibilities include conducting market research, mapping user journeys, and performing competitive benchmarking to guide design decisions. Create mock-ups and 3D models, support prototyping and testing efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product intent with production realities. Ideal candidates are passionate about product design, thrive in a dynamic environment, and possess skills in CAD and 3D modelling.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for product design
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Eager to learn and absorb new concepts
- Proven ability to improve form, function, and user experience
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes
- Understanding of ergonomic design principles
- Knowledge of human-centred design
- Experience using CAD and 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks
- Proficiency in design research, usability testing, and prototyping with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
