Industrial CSA Designer II

Job Summary
Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings and building information models utilizing Revit and AutoCAD. Prepare and coordinate Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration deliverables. Conduct site visits to collect project information and verify existing conditions. Perform building code and regulatory reviews to support project layouts and identify compliance issues. Independently identify design challenges and develop practical solutions while collaborating with architects, engineers, and construction teams. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional travel to client sites and project locations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of industrial building design and construction
- Advanced proficiency in Revit
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Experience producing construction documents in a BIM environment
- Familiarity with traditional building systems, construction methods, and industry-standard details
- Ability to independently identify design challenges and develop practical solutions
- Working knowledge of applicable building, life safety, accessibility, and zoning codes
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, clients, and construction professionals
- Associate Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience in Drafting, Design Technology, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Minimum three (3) years of professional experience as a CSA Designer, Architectural Designer, Civil Designer, Structural Designer, or similar role
- Degree in drafting/design, civil engineering, or architecture will be considered where experience doesn't meet minimum
- Ability to travel to project locations as required
- Ability to walk active construction sites and traverse uneven terrain
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access various areas of project facilities
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) during site visits
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Design Technology, or related discipline
- Experience with food and beverage manufacturing facilities
- Experience with cold storage and refrigerated facilities
- Experience with warehouse, distribution, and industrial manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting design-build project delivery methods
- Experience coordinating with multiple design disciplines on industrial projects
- Autodesk Revit Certification
- Professional certifications related to drafting, design technology, architecture, or engineering
- Participation in industry and professional organizations
