Job Summary
Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and variable speed drive controlled high-speed production equipment and batch processes while maintaining power distribution for plant equipment. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery using precision tools, interpret schematics, and analyze process data to drive equipment maintenance and improvement activities. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to increase reliability and up-time, utilizing SAP to document all maintenance tasks, track parts, and record inspection points. Prioritize self-scheduled work around production activities to meet KPIs and lead individually driven projects that support brewery goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 year industrial electrical/programming experience
- two-year technical degree
- Knowledge of variable frequency drives, servo motors, and motor control systems up to 480 volts
- Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify root causes (e.g. six sigma analysis) and propose and implement remedies
- Ability to perform calibrations, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot and re-wire high speed and/or highly automated equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, servo motors, and PLC I/O modules
- Strong computer skills
- Microsoft Office Excel proficiency
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems experience
- Experience in computer networking (routers, Ethernet, switches, etc.)
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment (valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes)
Desired Qualifications
- PLC experience
- Multiple platforms such as Allen Bradley PLC5, Control Logix, and Siemens programming and troubleshooting experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience in high-speed packaging and/or highly automated continuous process environment (valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lube routes)
