Job Summary
Industrial Control Panel Test Technician in Champlin, MN responsible for testing and quality control of electrical control panels (Power components, PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, etc.), instrumentation control panels, and related assemblies. Duties include adhering to engineering/manufacturing documents, performing continuity and dielectric testing with multimeters/ohmmeters, following testing procedures for final product checkout, documenting notes and issues, contributing to 5S and continuous process improvement, and maintaining safety and professionalism in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical or electronics training, education, or equivalent experience building electrical control panels
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics/diagrams
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits / electrical components
- Knowledge of UL508a requirements preferred
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools associated with the job in a safe manner
- Highly motivated and ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work well with others
