Industrial Construction Contracts Manager

Job Summary

Review, draft, redline, and negotiate complex equipment sales, aftermarket, and construction-related agreements including design-build and CMAR contracts. Collaborate with legal, finance, and project teams to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and coordinate bonding and insurance requirements. Analyze terms for purchase orders and direct bids, conduct due diligence on new customers, and provide insights on delivery dates and penalties to leadership. Maintain an organized repository of contracts and documentation while monitoring updates to existing agreements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Legal Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years' work experience in contracts administration, construction contract negotiation, or other relevant roles
  • Experience with contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts in industrial, construction, environmental, or public sector industries
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Ability to complete a background check
  • Completion of an I-9 form

Desired Qualifications

  • Paralegal Certification or professional certification in contract management (e.g., CCCA, CPCM, CFCM)
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement, bid processes, and bonding requirements
  • Experience working with independent manufacturers' representatives
  • Exposure to sales, sales management and/or project management in wastewater treatment industry or related field
  • Contract, risk management, insurance and bonding background
  • Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to analyze, negotiate, and structure contracts in the best interest of the company
  • Excellent ability to review contracts for compliance, accuracy, and risk exposure
  • Understanding of relevant legal frameworks, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) for government contracts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Capable of identifying and resolving contract-related risks and discrepancies
  • Proficiency in maintaining digital and paper-based contract records
  • Experience with contract management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure contract compliance
