Job Summary
Industrial Coatings Outside Sales Representative role in New England focused on developing and maintaining relationships with industrial, commercial, municipal, and institutional buyers. Sell Rust-Oleum industrial coatings, Zinsser primers, Seal-Krete concrete systems, and Benjamin Moore HP maintenance coatings through a consultative, long-cycle B2B approach. Conduct regular in-person visits, develop proposals and cost analyses, coordinate demos and training with manufacturers, pursue municipal/institutional bids, maintain CRM records, and deliver market feedback. Requires 5–7 years of outside B2B coatings sales, strong technical knowledge of coatings and surface prep, ability to read data sheets, and a valid driver’s license for extensive travel; NACE Certification sponsor provided if not held.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of outside B2B sales experience in industrial coatings, specialty chemicals, building materials, or related technical field
- Strong working knowledge of primers, epoxies, urethanes, alkyds, concrete coatings, and surface preparation standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets, specifications, and application requirements
- Proven success acquiring new accounts and growing existing business
- NACE Certification – Company will Sponsor if not previously obtained
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively across New England
