Job Summary
Drive sales growth by meeting assigned technology offer goals and developing strategies, promotions, and annual performance plans. Provide technical support for customers via on-site visits, phone, and email, including troubleshooting, product selection, and demonstrations. Establish relationships to ascertain needs, follow up on business leads, and move projects through the sales cycle to conclusion. Prepare quotations, proposals, and estimates while collaborating with Inside Sales for quoting and order expediting. Work with Purchasing on inventory management and identify obsolescence risks. Travel frequently to offsite locations for client interactions and events.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of equivalent experience
- Electrical distribution industry or related experience
- Valid Driver's License
- High School or GED
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/Word
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to practice good interpersonal relations, using tact, courtesy, a positive attitude toward customers and co-workers, pleasant communication etiquette, and a general attitude as a representative of goodwill on behalf of the company at work or during company travel
- Ability to develop and present specialized instruction concerning the specific high-tech equipment in the assigned area of responsibility
- Travels to offsite locations
