Job Summary
Develop and maintain C# applications using .NET Framework 4.8, .NET Standard 2.0, and .NET 6+ to orchestrate machine operations, robotics workflows, and operator applications. Build workflow orchestration, sequencing, and machine-control integrations while investigating production issues through logs to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Enhance fault handling, recovery workflows, and observability by collaborating with Controls, QA, Operations, and Support teams. Contribute to testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and release readiness, ensuring reliable solutions that improve uptime. Own production issues, identify root causes quickly, and communicate effectively across software and controls teams.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of C# and object-oriented software development experience
- Strong experience with .NET Framework and modern .NET platforms
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in production or distributed systems
- Strong debugging, log analysis, and root cause investigation skills
- Experience with event-driven architectures, asynchronous programming, and system integration
- Working knowledge of SQL, Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, or material-handling experience
- ABB RAPID, PLCs, machine controllers, or industrial communications experience
- Experience with observability platforms, monitoring, and incident response
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Ability to leverage AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and productivity improvements
