Job Summary
Industrial Athletic Trainer at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport serves as ergonomic coach/trainer, delivering ergonomic training, injury prevention, and early intervention services. Responsibilities include leading lift training programs, facilitating hands-on simulations and movement coaching, observing and coaching employee movement, educating on body mechanics and safe practices, conducting ergonomic assessments, developing recommendations to reduce injury risk, supporting program metrics, and maintaining thorough documentation. Requires Bachelor’s in Athletic Training, state licensure/certification, CPR/AED, OSHA/workers’ compensation knowledge (preferred), strong communication and training skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Schedule is Monday–Friday, day shift, on-site at ATL. An Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training
- The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
- CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations (preferred)
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
- Ergonomic and/or occupational health experience
- Previous experience with public speaking in a training environment (preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training
- CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain
- State licensure, certification, and registration in good standing with the state or ability to obtain
- Public speaking/training experience (preferred)
- Ergonomic/occupational health experience
