Job Summary
Design, implement, and lead safe, effective, and enjoyable indoor cycling classes for participants of various fitness levels. Deliver instruction that promotes fitness, educates on nutrition and wellness, and fosters positive relationships with the public. Maintain current Group Fitness or Indoor Cycling certification, CPR/AED certification, and First Aid certification. Work evening and weekend shifts at the Lone Tree Recreation Center as a part-time instructor.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Group Fitness Certification or Indoor Cycling certification
- Will have prior experience in instruction of specific specialty
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Graduation from high school or completion of GED
- Current Group Fitness Certification or Indoor cycling certification from an accepted national certifying organization and must be maintained through Continuing Education Credits (CEC's) as required
- Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED required
- The opening at Lone Tree Recreation Center is for an evening and weekend instructor
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid certification is preferred
- Has an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutrition and wellness to promote fitness and educate participants
- Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public
- Will have knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming
