Job Summary
Indo-Pacific Research Analyst will perform substantive research, analytical work, program monitoring and evaluation, and provide administrative support for USTDA's portfolio in the Indo-Pacific region. The role is based in Arlington, VA (metro accessible, Rosslyn). The candidate should have 1-3 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), and strong writing and data-analysis abilities. The position requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to obtain a Secret level security clearance with the U.S. Government, along with a public trust background check. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong research capabilities are essential; familiarity with public administration/policy, international relations/development, and related fields is desirable. Regional knowledge and language skills are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 1-3 years professional experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Ability to obtain Secret level security clearance with the U.S. Government
- Public trust background check with U.S. Government
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to conduct sophisticated research using numerous resources
- Ability to compile and analyze data and provide recommendations based upon statistical analysis
- Ability to analyze programs and processes to determine effectiveness
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Proficiency in internet research and databases
- Detail-oriented and ability to format professional-grade documents for public dissemination
- Strong writing skills to draft/edit reports, briefing books, letters, and other correspondence
- High degree of organization and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask
- Regional knowledge preferred
- Energy, Critical Minerals, Digital Infrastructure, and/or Transportation knowledge a plus
- Foreign language skills a plus
